Peptide deposited in the brain of Alzheimer´s disease patient

Bulk material of Amyloid beta-Protein (Human, 1-40) is synthesized and purified from trifluoroacetate buffer. Vials of this peptide, described as “Trifluoroacetate Form” are then prepared by Lyophilization from DMSO. When analyzed by CD in aqueous buffer at pH 7.4 and 37oC (peptide concentration = 10 µM, our product Code 4307-v: Amyloid beta-Protein (Human, 1-40) [Trifluoracetate Form] needs >1 week to take on a β-structure under experimental conditions.

Our peptide Amyloid beta-Protein (Human, 1-40) is chemically synthesized and not recombinant and therefore not contaminated with bacterial protein fragments.
