Small Conductance Ca2+-activated K+ Channel Blocker

Scyllatoxin | Leiurotoxin I is an essential component of the scorpion venom isolated from Leiurus quinquestriatus hebraeus. This ion channel blocker shows some physiological, but no structural similarities to Apamin and competes for the same high conductance calcium-activated potassium channels. Leiurotoxin I (Scyllatoxin) blocks Ca2+-activated K+ ion channels in different cell types. Scyllatoxin (Leiurotoxin I) offered from PeptaNova is a high pure, chemically synthesized polypeptide and is not isolated from biological sources or made by recombinant technics, expressed in Escherichia coli. Therefore crosscontamination with E. Coli protein residues must not to be apprehanded. A second SK channel blocker Apamin is available by Peptanova as well.
